Message you are in no way prepared to do this conversion on your own. Along with most of your other questions, they tell me you have searched very little and would be one of those who posts in 5 years that your Z is still down because you don't have the funds to buy all the parts you need.

You probably have a few things in mind, like intercooler piping, ecu, fp and fpc, maybe a few little pieces here and there to do the conversion. These engines have so many functioning parts that can go bad, if you had to replace each one you could likely buy two twin turbos for the amount of money you'll end up having in it. This is a simple problem compared to the headache you will likely encounter w/ it being obd2 (the word "headache" refers to something which you have never in your life experienced until you try this conversion. There's a reason your search yields little information on it).

I suggest you search more for a better condition twin turbo. Lemme put it this way: I read an article a while back about Deloreans. Delorean Motor Company claimed that anyone who wants to own a good running Delorean will have $25k invested in it; whether they buy a new one from the company, or a used one for $12k and invest another $13k to get it running well, an owner will have, on average, $25k in the car no matter how s/he went about it.

In my opinion, this goes the same for the 300zx. You may buy a cheap Z, but you'll invest at least as much in fixing it up and getting it in good condition than you would buying one that's already in tip-top shape.

Your claim that "Most TT's that are for sale either already have problems that will require engine removal any way, or are overpriced if they don't" tells me that you aren't prepared for the financial investment that one of these cars requires. If you're trying to cut corners to save money now, you'll end up spending double down the road (along with having a non-running Z sitting in your driveway/garage/gutter for who knows how long).

Might I recommend a honda civic?

Cheers,
